An Amazing Start…

September 4, 2013

Claude Cymerman is saying farewell this year and that could bring tears. Tonight, he kicked off our concert season and played in a way that might bring tears–tears of joy and beauty. I love it when I go to a recital expecting to hear a “favorite” and find an unexpected work captivating me. That happened so many times tonight. His Chopin brilliant, his Bach profound, it is his Franck that runs through my head even now…

And what a crowd. A packed house. Houses are way up at the DePauw School of Music. People know great things are happening here.

Nothing better than Claude.

Three more chances to hear him. Don’t miss.

What an inspiring performance. We, as students, are so fortunate to have amazing faculty members that can set example by putting on truly brilliant performances and to a full house none the less!
